Other Ways to Save Money for College
In addition to the BK Scholarship, students from the class of 2021 should consider other ways to save money for college.
- Get credit for what you already know with CLEP, College Level Examination Program, which is a set of standardized tests on a variety of subjects including biology, marketing, algebra, humanities and another popular option – college composition. A variety of study guides are available for all sorts of exams and can be purchased on Amazon.com. Check out this sample for the College Composition exam – after all, writing those personal essays for college scholarship applications has provided plenty of practice! - Consider using the time now to apply for as many scholarships as possible. It can be a numbers game, and unfortunately students won’t quality for all scholarships. By applying for more than one scholarships for the 2018-2019 school year, students can increase their odds for securing extra funds for college. Check out resources such as FastWeb or connect with your local guidance counselor for more information on scholarships, including the Burger King Scholarship of course! Another great way to search scholarship information online is by tapping into social networks such as Twitter. If you go to search.twitter.com and type in the word “scholarships” you can see a wealth of up to date scholarship information that you may not have seen searching other websites. While you’re there, you can even follow @Fastweb to stay up to date on their scholarship information and scholarship giveaways!
